Frequently Asked Questions

How does Hypoclo work?

Hypoclo's key ingredient is hypochlorous acid, a natural disinfectant compound found in nature. Unlike typical chemical disinfectants that cannot penetrate all cell membranes, Hypoclo breaks down complete cell structure and dissolves cell proteins and nuclei from within. Bacteria simply ceases to exist.

If Hypoclo is all natural, is it effective against bacteria and viruses?

Absolutely. As the different types of bacteria get stronger, chemicals actually have less and less efficacy as bacteria adapt and mutate. The world has witnessed very recent examples of this, where virus variants have emerged in the same period as the original.

As an organic compound, mutation is not possible with Hypoclo. It simply breaks down all bacterial forms, including spores, which are the "battle armor" of bacteria.

Why choose Hypoclo over bleach or alcohol?

Alcohol has always been the gold standard for simple disinfection. However, as effective as it is, it was never intended for long-term use as it is still a chemical. Although it may "smell clean", long-term daily inhalation and skin contact is inevitably carcinogenic.

As for bleach, anyone who has cleaned with it can attest how nauseous it can be. It is dangerous to inhale, uncomfortable to touch, and 5-6 times more toxic than alcohol.

Hypoclo is 100% chemical free and safe for humans. Adults and children alike can safely inhale the mist with no adverse effects. Hypoclo is even beneficial for the skin. Our pH Advanced® formula retains the skin's moisture and strengthens its natural healing ability.

Can Hypoclo be used on all surfaces?

When misting, Hypoclo is safe for hard surfaces as well as all types of seat upholstery. When spraying surfaces heavily indoors (such as positive-case area disinfection), we recommend drying with a cloth after 15-30 seconds.

For metals that traditionally have delicate reactions to water, such as high-carbon steel, wrought iron, brass or silver, we recommend mild spray followed by immediate drying with a cloth.

For application details, please refer to our usage guidelines pages for offices or homes.

Has Hypoclo ever been tested in facilities?

In addition to the health tests that the United States FDA and EPA, as well as Japan's National Health Institute, have conducted, the technology behind our formulas have been used in Japan for over three decades.

It is applied in hospitals, hotels and restaurants all over Japan's major metropolitan cities and is constantly being improved and advanced.
